Zara belongs to the ancient country of Armenia – which even now hovers at edge of time. She belongs to famouse Armenian family of doctors – the Akunts family. Natural thing for Zara was to chose the medical profession – continuing family traditions. She graduated Medical University with distinction and continued her study of medicine in Russia, later in the USA, Great Britain, Austria and India.

Zara is the only specialist of Ayurveda in Armenia and she was the first one to popularize yoga in Armenia by creating first in the region center for Ayurveda and Yoga «Eco» . She is also the first and the only Pranic Healing practitioner in Armenia and received her knowledge straight from the first disciple of the founder of this teaching Grand Master Choa Kok Sui.

She is the author of 36 scientific articles published in Armenia and abroad. She travels a lot and spreads her deep knowledge of medicine and alternative healing all over the world.

Zara Akunts is the author and the host of 3 popular TV projects. “Women’s World – Women of the World”  (since 2007 on Armenian Public Television and “Ararat” State Cultural Channel) , “Nature Cures” (Ararat State Cultural Channel) and “Secrets of Traditional Medicine” (Yerkir Media), which were viewed by Armenian viewers not only in Armenia, but also in Europe, Middle East and the USA.
Zara Akunts is also a successful artist, who’s artworks were exhibited in different countries. Her artworks can be seen in private collections in the UK, USA, Canada, India.

She made a big  contribution in popularization of healthy lifestyle and herbal medicine in Armenia.
